Lab 8: HTML (II)

Lab Preperation:
Refer to the HTML primer

Lab
:
Objective: to create a simple html document

Create a resume using HTML because you have decided to post your resume on the web. To do this you will need to write the resume in HTML. To help you write the resume, do the following steps:

  • Create a simple LastnameResume.html file (e.g. MollahResume.html) using NotePad. I suggest that you begin with just the body and a header. Save it and view it with Internet Explorer. To view it you should need only double click on the resume.html file
  • Add a little to the document to give your name and address. Save again and view it. If you keep Internet Explorer running, you should only need to reload the page to see the changes
  • Continue adding a little at a time and checking to see that it displays as expected
Your simple resume should have the following:
  • your name, address, and phone number.
  • a description of your educational background, including a link to the Millersville University home page (www.millersville.edu) .
  • a list of previous employment (summer work, etc), with dates.
  • a list of references contact information, for example phone numbers. You can just make up some names here.

Note that you must hand code the HTML for this assignment. Rest assured that it will be very obvious if you generate the HTML from a program such as Word. Such programs generate very difficult to read HTML and I will be checking.
